Born and raised in the Treasure Valley, Dr. Winbigler suffered from significant nearsightedness in his early childhood. Dr. Winbigler played basketball, football and baseball as a young man. His first experience with contact lenses opened a whole new world for him. He took a great interest in his visits to his own eye doctor, and was so pleased to be able to see during his sports events without eyeglasses.
After a tour of duty in the U.S. Air Force, Dr. Winbigler decided to pursue a career in Optometry, hoping to give others the same experience in vision that he had had as a young person. “After over 30 years of practice in Optometry, I still love what I do and enjoy the many friends of whom I have had the privilege of providing eye care. It has been said that if a person loves what they do, they will never work a day in their life. That saying certainly applies to me. It is an honor and a privilege to be entrusted with the care of our most precious senses-our vision!”
